Science A-Z provides comprehensive science units that include lessons, informational texts, and hands-on activities across four scientific domains: Life, Earth and Space, Physical, and Process Science. Unit resources are organized into three grade spans (K-2, 3-4, and 5-6) within each domain.

Differentiated Content

Many Science A-Z resources are offered at three reading levels (low , mid , and high ) within each of the three grade spans to ensure each student can access content at his or her developmental level. Resources provide opportunities for students to work independently and collaboratively, use different modalities to explore the content, and think and act like scientists.


Flexible Instruction

Science A-Z resources are designed to easily adjust to any teaching style or learning environment. The vast library of reading resources can be used to deliver a full science curriculum or to supplement a textbook-based or process-based curriculum. Resources are available in printable, projectable, and digital formats, and can be used for whole-class, small-group, or one-to-one instruction. Teachers may select any resource from any unit across grades K-6 to use with students.

Interactive Learning

Science A-Z informational texts are available in computer-based and mobile formats that students access through an interactive eLearning environment. Students can select texts to read independently or complete readings and other online resources assigned by their teacher. Each interactive eBook comes with a corresponding eQuiz that allows teachers to assess both reading comprehension and scientific proficiency. Interactive Science Lessons are also delivered online, which provides students with instant feedback while allowing teachers to monitor student performance on the embedded assessments.


Abundant Teacher Support

Most Science A-Z resources are accompanied by teacher support materials and lesson plans that provide helpful tips, background information, vocabulary lists, answer keys, and extension ideas, all of which help teachers easily include science in their daily curriculum. A library of helpful videos gives insights and tips for using the product and its resources daily.
