Hacer trabajo

Grade K-2, Physical, Doing Work Unit
This book, translated into Spanish, defines work as using force to move something. Pulling a wagon, lifting a box, and turning a page in a book are all work. Using a force that does not lead to motion is not considered to be work. It takes more work to move something heavy than to move something light. It also takes more work to move something far than to move something over a short distance. Machines help us do work more easily or more quickly. Simple machines have just one or a few parts. Simple machines can be combined to form complex machines that have many parts. Each machine helps perform certain tasks.
