Project-Based Learning
Resources for Effective Project-Based Learning
Project-based learning (PBL) is an instructional framework that develops key 21st century skills as students work in groups to answer a Driving Question and complete a project. The PBL model encourages critical thinking, creativity, innovation, inquiry, collaboration, and communication. Students investigate real-world science questions and solve authentic engineering design challenges. Science-based PBL integrates science, technology, engineering, math, language arts, and other content areas.
Science A-Z's Project-Based Learning resources require students to think and act like scientists and engineers. Teams of students work collaboratively using multiple unit resources to gain a deeper understanding of standards-based core unit concepts, then put that understanding into practice as they complete their project.
